Target plans to carry chardonnay,
merlot, pinot grigio and shiraz in three-liter boxes, equivalent
to about four bottles each. The discount retailer, a division of
giant Target Corp. plans to sell them for $15.99 in California
and Florida stores and SuperTarget stores in states where it
already sells wine.
"This is our first private-label boxed wine," said Target
spokeswoman Aimee Sands. "We're optimistic this is a great
innovation for our wine sales."
