Elmer Stahlecker (Child)-1933

Elmer William Stahlecker, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stahlecker, passed away suddenly on March 9, at 8:30 p.m.  The child was sick but a short time and nothing serous was suspicioned [sic].  A doctor that was called could not say the flue and pneumonia attack breaking upon the child so sudden and sever.  Its age was 11 months and a few days.

We extend our cordial sympathy to the parents in sorrow.  The remains were taken into Immanuel's Church, were a large attendance showed their sympathy to those in sorrow.  The Rev. H.L. Woelber conducted the funeral service.  The funeral sermon was based on John 19 30.  It's, awaiting the resurrection of the just, when it shall be reunited with its parents again.  This child is well off and has finished a long toilsome troublesome life in the short span of eleven months.  It's playing in the Lord's presence where we wish all our children to be.  We journey onward, upward, homeward.
