Edwin Alvin BERINGER-1984

Edwin Alvin Beringer, died Oct. 17, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Denver. Edwin was born in St. Francis, [Kansas] May 7, 1922 to Gottlieb and Katherine Beringer.  Edwin was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church where he was an active and faithful member all his life.  Among other services given to the church he served as deacon and president at various times.

Edwin was united in marriage to LaVera Raile on Jan. 19, 1947.  And to this union were born four children:  Elaine, Alice, Larry and Karen.  All his life he and LaVera, side by side, engaged in his vocation and passion, farming.  He loved, enjoyed and cared for his children and grandchildren.

Edwin is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Joseph David Beringer.  He leaves to mourn, his wife, LaVera, sisters, Amelia Meyer and Clara Meyer, both of Bethune, Colo., daughters, Elaine and husband, Jim Wiseman of Minden, Neb., Alice and husband Craig Ham, of St. Francis, and son, Larry and wife Brenda, of Sharon Springs, 10 grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
