Ralph Rosser Corliss, 92, of Arizona City, Ariz., died Nov. 26, 2000 at Desert Valley Care Center in Casa Grande, Ariz.

The memorial service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, at First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande.  The graveside service was at 3 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Corliss was born Dec. 16, 1907, in a sod house in Kit Carson County, one of 10 children of Albert N. and Lillian M. (Yale) Corliss.  The family moved to Hebron, Neb., in 1917.  He graduated from Hebron High School in 1926 and attended the College of Agriculture at the University of Nebraska.

He married Marie Ruth Broad in 1934.  He worked at Roscoe Hill Hatchery in Lincoln, Neb., for many years, retiring in 1973 as vice president in charge of the Rocky Mountain Division.  He was a past president of the National Poultry Association.

He formerly was a member of Bethany Christian Church and Cotner Masonic Lodge in Lincoln and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande.  He moved to Arizona in 1979 to pursue his interest in lapidary work, making beautiful rock clocks, tables and jewelry.  He was a past president and columnist of Arizona City Gem and Mineral Society.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Madeline Tullis of Ottawa, Ill.; two sons, Ralph Corliss Jr. of Brentwood, Calif., and James Corliss of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Myrna Mack and Pauline Williams; a brother, Edward Corliss; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
