Julius E. Stahlecker -1995 Julius E. Sthalecer was born on July 17, 1909, at Bethune to Isaiah and Marie (Stutz) Stahlecker. Julius worked as a farmer in the Burlington area and later became a truck driver for Eastern Express. He married Myrtle Rote on June 24, 1958, in Denver. They moved to Hotchkiss in 1976 and to Loveland in 1981. Julius was a member of the Teamsters Union and the First Congregational Church of Loveland. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Julius was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Sharon Jones; two brothers -- Albert and Edward Stahelcker and sister, Martha Gramm. He is survived by his wife Myrtle of Loveland; three daughters -- Karen Quinn of Visalia, Calif., Jacquelyn Townsend and husband David of Thornton, and Winona Gilmer and husband James of Westminister; two borthers -- Jake Stahlecker and wife Lillian of Castleford, Idaho, and Ralph Stahlecker and wife Elma of Burlington; two sisters -- Pauline Knodel and Freida Schlichenmayer, both of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. |
