Isaiah Stahlecker -- 1957 Isaiah Stahlecker, son of Martin and Catherine, nee Juengling, was born April 1882 at Tripp, South Dakota. In his eleventh year his parents moved to Bethune, Colorado where they engaged in farming and the son followed the same occupation. On January 6, 1907 he was married to Maria Stutz. Five sons and three daughters were born into the family. One son, one daughter and their mother preceded Mr. Stahlecker in death. Much of Mr. Stahlecker's life was spent in ill health. On July 9th he was taken to the hospital, several days later he was stricken at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 28 days. Four sons and two daughters remain to mourn the death of their father. Also two brothers and two sisters survive him and 13 grandchildren. He will be missed by his family, church and many friends. Burial was made on the Hope Congregational cemetery. H.E. Wilske, pastor
