George Brunmeier  --  1960

    Funeral services for George Brunmeier of Loveland were conducted Wednesday, June 15, at the First Congregational Church of Loveland with the Kibbey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Mr. Brunmeier passed away suddenly Friday, June 10, of a heart attack.  He was visiting a friend, Conrad Bauer, at the time of the attack. 
    Mr. Brunmeier was born April 2, 1887, in Russia and came to this country as a young man, locating first in Nebraska. He later moved to Weld County where he was, engaged in farming and retired in 1934 in Loveland.
    His first wife preceded him in death in 1952.  
   At the time of his death his second wife, Anna, was in the hospital in Burlington for treatment of injuries which she received while on her way to visit her children.
    He is survived by seven children: Mrs. Jacob Strob and Paul Brunmeier, both of Loveland Mrs. Paul Hinkle and Henry Brunmeier of Pueblo; Mrs. John Schwindt and Albert Brunmeier of Derby; and Albert Brunmeier of Longmont.  Other survivors include his wife, Anna; three step-children, Albert Schlichenmayer of Wray and Chris Schlichenmayer and Mrs. Martha Schaal of Bethune.  Also 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were Henry Lapp, Conrad Pfeif, Henry Pfeif, Jacob J. Schmidt, Reinholdt Weiss; and Jacob Walter.  Honorary escorts were Conrad Bauer, George Frick, Henry Sell and Jake Zimmerman.  Burial was in the Loveland Burial Park.
