Paul G. Weisshaar-2001 Private graveside services were held for Paul G. Weisshaar, 80, of Loveland, at Loveland Burial Park. Paul passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at the V.A. Hospital in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was born April 23, 1921, to Joseph Weisshaar and Margaret (Schaal) Weisshaar at Bethune. Paul served in the U.S. Army during World War II from December 1942-December 1945. He was a farmer in the Wellington area where he lived for 32 years before moving to Loveland in 1979. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. He belonged to the First Congregational Church where he sang in the choir. He was also a volunteer with the Wellington Fire Department for 26 years. Survivors include brother Gottlob John Weisshaar of Denver; nieces Esther Wether and husband Stan of San Lorenzo, Calif., Jacqueline Gallup and husband Richard of Scottsdale, Ariz., Donna Kickman and husband Robert of Pueblo and Eunice Baer of Greeley; nephew Richard Carpenter and wife Patsy of Howard; brother-in-law John Strobel of San Lorenz, Calif. Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters, and one brother. Memorials may be made in Paul's name to Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave., Loveland, CO 80537. Memorials will go towards planting a tree in Paul's memory. |
