Emma K. Bauder

Emma K. Bauder (nee Weiss)
daughter of Gottfred and Mary Weiss, was born on Oct. 1, 1911, at the family
home north of Bethune, Colo. She was baptized and confirmed in the
Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bethune in 1935.
On Nov. 17, 1929, she was
united in marriage to Albert Bauder. They made their home on the
farm northwest of Burlington and then later in the town of Burlington.
Seven children were born to this union; Calvin, Arnold, Bob (Robert), Darlene,
Geraldine, and Jerry (Gerald).
Albert and Emma were pleasantly
surprised in October, 1979 when their children traveled to Burlington to
honor them for their 50th wedding anniversary.
Emma was preceded in death by
her father and mother, her son Jerry, and infant boy, a grandson (Robert
Jr.), and a daughter-in-law, Pat of Torrance, Calif. She leaves to
mourn in her passing, her husband Albert; son Calvin, daughter-in-law Alice
and family of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; son Arnold of Torrence, Calif.; son Bob,
daughter-in-law Donna and family of Denver; daughter Darlene of St. Petersburg,
Fla.; and daughter Geraldine, and son-in-law Don Carson and family of Burlington;
four brothers: Bill, Otto, Albert, and Reinhart, and many friends
and relatives.
Emma suddenly passed away
of heart failure on April 16, 1980. She would have been 69 years
of age Oct. 1, 1980. Emma will be greatly missed by her family and
many community friends. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother,
especially enjoying her home and garden.

to Bethel Assembly of God Church in the name of Emma Bauder.
Funeral services were held
at Bethel Assembly of God Church, Burlington, Monday, April 21, at 10:30
am with Rev. Wm. Behrman officiating. Ginger Behrman was organist
and soloist for the musical numbers. Casket bearers were Calvin Bauder,
Alvin [Arnold] Bauder, Bob Bauder, Don Carson, Doyle Bates and Dan Gay. Interment
was at Fairview Cemetery, Burlington.
