Emma K. Bauder  (1980)

Emma K. Bauder (nee Weiss) daughter of Gottfred and Mary Weiss, was born on Oct. 1, 1911, at the family home north of Bethune, Colo.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Bethune in 1935.
On Nov. 17, 1929, she was united in marriage to Albert Bauder.  They made their home on the farm northwest of Burlington and then later in the town of Burlington.   Seven children were born to this union; Calvin, Arnold, Bob (Robert), Darlene, Geraldine, and Jerry (Gerald).

Albert and Emma were pleasantly surprised in October, 1979 when their children traveled to Burlington to honor them for their 50th wedding anniversary.

Emma was preceded in death by her father and mother, her son Jerry, and infant boy, a grandson (Robert Jr.), and a daughter-in-law, Pat of Torrance, Calif.  She leaves to mourn in her passing, her husband Albert; son Calvin, daughter-in-law Alice and family of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; son Arnold of Torrence, Calif.; son Bob, daughter-in-law Donna and family of Denver; daughter Darlene of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and daughter Geraldine, and son-in-law Don Carson and family of Burlington; four brothers:  Bill, Otto, Albert, and Reinhart, and many friends and relatives.

Emma suddenly passed away of heart failure on April 16, 1980.  She would have been 69 years of age Oct. 1, 1980.  Emma will be greatly missed by her family and many community friends.  She was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother, especially enjoying her home and garden.

Contributions may be made to Bethel Assembly of God Church in the name of Emma Bauder.

Funeral services were held at Bethel Assembly of God Church, Burlington, Monday, April 21, at 10:30 am with Rev. Wm. Behrman officiating.  Ginger Behrman was organist and soloist for the musical numbers.  Casket bearers were Calvin Bauder, Alvin [Arnold]  Bauder, Bob Bauder, Don Carson, Doyle Bates and Dan Gay.  Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Burlington.
