Funeral services for Frieda K. Stahlecker
were Monday, April 23, 1990, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Rocky Ford
at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lyle E. Klemz officiating. Casket bearers were Joe Pequete, Dean Stahlecker, Russell Stahlecker, Rocky Amrhein, Glenn
Stahlecker and Randall Schreckhise. Honorary casket bearers were
Alvin Payne, Albert Stahlecker, Robert Stahlecker Jr., Randy Stahlecker,
Steven Scott Stahlecker and Cecil Edward Stahlecker.
Frieda K. Stahlecker, a lover of children, fruit
trees and flowers, was born July 27, 1903 in Bethune and departed this life. Wednesday, April 18, 1990.
She was the daughter of Gottlieb and Katherina
(Fanslou) Bauder. She was one of six children. Frieda was preceded
in death by her sister Emma and two brothers, Walter and Herman Bauder.
She is survived by sister Anna Bauer of Burlington
and a brother, Robert Bauder of Newberg, OR.
Frieda married Martin Stahlecker Sept. 22, 1925 in
Bethune. Martin and Frieda lived in and near Bethune and Alamosa
until 1942 when the family moved to Rocky Ford.
They were the parents of four, children: Ervin, Robert, Elmer and Vera.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Martin, in 1970, and is
survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 16
step great-grandchildren and 3 step great-great-grandchildren. Frieda had
resided in Wichita, KS for the past six years.
She is lovingly remembered for her kindness and
cheerfulness, and all who love her are happy that she has found her blessed
