Pauline Schlichenmayer -- 1993
Pauline Schlichenmayer of Longmont died on
Saturday, May 15, 1993, at the Applewood Living Center. She was 92.
Born on July 27, 1900, in Idalia, she was the
daughter of John Weisshaar and Christina Wilhelm Weisshaar. She was
baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith.
She married Jacob Gerald Schlichenmayer on
Feb. 11, 1923, in Bethune. Her husband preceded her in death on Nov.
27, 1971.
Mrs. Schlichenmayer was a homemaker.
And in later years she enjoyed sewing and quilt making with the women in
the church group. She moved to Longmont from Burlington in 1985.
She is survived by two sons, Leonard Schlichenmayer
and his wife Bethel of Wheatland, Wyo., and Loyd Schlichenmayer and his
wife Sheila of Lafayette; five daughters, Laurine Weaver of Burlington;
Edna Morgan and her husband Doyle of Grand Junction; Shirley Sailer and
her husband Stanley of Lakewood; one brother, Carl Weisshaar of Burlington;
two sisters, Maggie Stahlecker of Burlington and Anna Adolf of Yuma; 23
grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 1 pm on Wednesday,
May 19, 1993, at Fairview. Cemetery in Burlington, with the Rev.
Norman Femrite of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Howe Mortuary
in Longmont.
