Following is Gottlieb's Declaration of Intention (serial 92) filed at St Francis 23 June 1932; "I, Gottlieb Beringer now residing at St Francis, Cheyenne County, Kansas; occupation - Farmer; aged - 44 years, do declare on oath that my personal description is; Sex - male; color - White; complexion - Fair; color of eyes - Brown; color of hair - Brown; height - 5 feet 9 inches; weight 180 pounds; visible distinctive marks - None; race - German; nationality - Russian. I was born in Bergdorf, Russia on December 13, 1887. I am married to Katie Zweygardt Beringer. We were married on January 13, 1916 at St Francis, Kansas. She was born at Hoffnungstal Russia on January 12, 1893 and entered the United States at New York in November 1901, for permanent residence therein, and now resides at St Francis Kansas. I have three children, and the name, date and place of birth and place of residence of each of said children are as follows; Amilia Beringer, born January 8 1917 and Resides at St Francis Kansas, Clara Beringer, born January 22 1919 and Resides at St Francis Kansas, and Edwin Beringer, born May 7 1922 and Resides at St Francis Kansas. I have heretofore made a declaration of intention; Number 132, on 4th Judicial District at Venturia, McIntosh County, North Dakota. My last foreign residence was Bergdorf Russia. I emigrated to the United States of America from Antwerp Holland.
