Dorothea Knodel (1927)
from the Burlington Call, Thursday, October 20 1927
Mrs. John Knodel passed away at her home in the settlement
north of town Sunday. She was born February 25 1874 in Russia.
Besides her husband she leaves five children and a host of ear friends who mourn
the passing away of a kind and loving wife, mother, and dear friend.
Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in the
Settlement at 1 p.m. Wednesday, burial in the church cemetery. A large
concourse of friends attended the services to pay their respects to the dear one
who had departed this life, and mingle their tears of sorrow and extended
sympathy to the bereaved ones. The deceased, with her
husband and family were pioneers here, and her death is a personal lose to many
who loved her dearly. The Call joins in extending sympathy to the family
in their hour of sorrow. |
