Henry E. Knodel - 1997

     Henry E. Knodel, 81, of Loveland, died Jan. 30, 1997, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. He was born June 22, 1915, in Bethune, to John and Dorothea Knodel. He married Viola Schroetlin on July 7, 1940, in Loveland. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1995.
     He moved to Loveland in 1930 from Bethune. He was in the Civil Conservation Corps as a young man in the Georgetown area. He worked at the Great Western Sugar Co. factory from 1955 to 1977. He also worked as a crossing guard for the Thompson School District. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  He enjoyed traveling.
     He is survived by a son, Allen Knodel of Denver; two daughters, Phyllis Bryant and husband Steve of Loveland, and Gloria Stoldt and husband Bob of Engelwood; two grandchildren, Conrad and Courtney Stoldt of Engelwood.
     Visitation will be 8 a.m.-8 p.m. today at Allnutt-Hunter Chapel. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Barber officiating.  Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in care of Allnutt-Hunter Chapel.
