Chris Strobel Jr. (1989)
Chris Strobel Jr., 92, of Lodi. died Tuesday at a local
hospital after a short illness.
A native of Colorado, he moved to North Dakota as a teenager
and to Lodi in 1920. He was a farmer and worked as a lather in construction for
many years. He was a charter member of the Bethel Open Bible Church, a member of
the Lathers Union Local 98, and a member of Lowell Center.
His hobby was gardening. And he helped build several local
churches.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mollie Barthuli;
one brother, Emll Strobel; three sisters, Marie Marks, Pautine Franke, Lydia
Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Strobel of Lodi; two sons.
Clarence Strobel of Stockton. Robert Strobel of Lake Tahoe; four daughters,
Violet Knoll of Lodi, Beverly Edaigo of Lodi, Virginia Seible of Lodi, June
Sayler of Lodi; one step-son, Paul Knodel of Colorado; four step-daughters,
Janet Amman of Utah, Alice Gramm of Colorado, Esther Gramm, and Ruby
Schllchenmayer of Colorado; 16 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Bethel Open Bible Church. 760 S. Ham
Lane. Time is pending. Private committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park
Cemetery. Lodi Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made
to the Red Cross Disaster Fund.
