Albert Bauer -- 1974
Albert William Bauer was born Nov. 28, 1905, to Andrew
and Beata Bauer and passed away Feb. 14 at the age of 68 years, 2 months
and 17 days.
Albert was confirmed Aug. 14, 1921, at Immanuel Lutheran
Church, Bethune, and was a long time resident of the Settlement and Burlington community.
He is survived by one brother, Edward of Denver;
two sisters, Anne Hayes of Paradise, Calif.; Theresa Hooker of Burlington;
one half-sister, Matilda Mitchell of Ontario, Calif. and one half brother,
Fred Hoehn; a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death
by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Feb. 19 at the Immanuel
Lutheran Church with Pastor Henry Thorberg officiating at the 1:30 p.m.
service. Song selections, "Rock of Ages" and "Faith of Our Fathers,"
were sung by the congregation while the men's choir provided special music.
Pianist was Louise Schlichenmayer. Casket bearers were James Schlichenmayer,
Walter and Danny Bauer, Karl Weisshaar, Frank Seelhoff and Leon Hooker.
Interment was made in the church cemetery with Hendricks Mortuary in charge. |
