Doris Meyer-2009

     Longtime Bethune, Colorado resident, Doris Marie Meyer passed away on December 4, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Kanorado, Kansas at 80 years of age.

Doris was born on January 21, 1929 to Edward and Matilda (Breese) Colbert in Goodland, Kansas.

She met and married Merle Hoard. To this union three children were born. Later in life she met and married Norman Meyer. To this union one child was born.

Doris was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wednesday Afternoon Ladies Pinochle Club, the Bethune Sunday Night Pinochle Club, The Ladies Sewing Club, and the VFW Auxiliary.

She enjoyed embroidery, reading, playing on the computer, BINGO, & cards as well as time with family & friends.

Surviving Doris are her children; Don Meyer and his wife Kathy of Ft. Morgan, Colorado, Jeanie Beeson and her husband Ron of Kanorado, Kansas, and Judy Grunder and her husband Kelly of Bullhead City, Arizona. Also twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one sister, Lucille Watkins of Denver, Colorado.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, one daughter Margaret Robben, one grandson Jeffrey Beeson, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made in her name and may be left at the Bank of Burlington.
