John F. Weisshaar-1967

     Funeral services for John Friedrich Weisshaar, 79, who died at his home in Newberg Org., Feb 7, were held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Newberg, Thursday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Clifford Lunde officiating.  Interment was in Valley View memorial Park.  Mr.. Weisshaar was born at Idalia, Sept. 15, 1187 [sic], the son of John and Christina Weisshaar.  On Dec. 26, 1911, at Bethune, he married Lydia Stahlecker, who survives.  He lived in Colorado until 1935, when he bought his home in Newberg.  His death followed a lengthy illness. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

Surviving besides Mrs. Weisshaar, are two sons, Bernard and Ruebon, both of Newberg; six daughters, Frieda Bauder, Martha Jaibler and Anna Hendricks, all of Newberg, Erna Schaal, Burlington, Alvina Schaal, Yakima, Wash., and Ruthena Reu, North Bend, Ore.; Three brothers, Karl Weisshaar, Bethune; William Weisshaar, Burlington; seven sisters; Lena Schlichenmayer, Bethune; Christina Fischer; Wakefield, Neb.; Freda Fischer, Alma Neb.; Margred [sic] Stahlecker, Paulena Schlichenmayer, Mary Adolf and Anna Adolf, all of Burlington; 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 7 adopted grandchildren.
