Ralph Stolz-2000

Longtime Sharon Springs, Kan., resident Ralph Eugene Stolz, 56, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his residence in Sharon Springs. Mr. Stolz was born July 4, 1943, at Stratton, the son of Anna Marie (Stahlecker) and Paul R. Stolz. Ralph was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bethune.

He graduated from Bethune High School in 1960. On June 5, 1966, Ralph married Linda C. Moore at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bethune. In June of 1967, Linda and Ralph moved to Sharon Springs, Kan. To this union two children were born, Darla and Todd. Ralph was an employee of Wallace County Co-op since 1967 and general manager since May 1995. Ralph was a member of and on the church council of the Sharon Lutheran Church. He was past president and an active member of the Sharon Springs Rotary club. He had been active in the Wallace County Amusement Association, Wallace County Chamber of Commerce and the EDA. Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant sister, Paulette; brother Vernon Stolz; and sister-in-law Doris Stolz. Surviving family members include his wife Linda; daughter Darla Dee Bielfeldt and husband Dennis of Brookings, S.D.; son R. Todd and wife KayLin of Hays, Kan.; seven grandchildren – Leah Brink and her husband Shane, Anna, Daniel and John Bielfeldt, Kayla and Brady Stephens and Kaid Stolz; one brother, Philip Stolz and wife Betty of Bethune; and one sister, Diane Cox and husband Robert of Montrose.

The funeral was Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, 10 a.m. MT, at the Sharon Lutheran Church, Sharon Springs, Kan., with Pastor Joanna Norris Grimshaw officiating. Burial followed in the Sharon Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Victory In The Valley (a home away from home for cancer patients and their families) in Wichita, Kan., the Sharon Springs Lutheran Church, or the Hospice Services, and may be left at Koons Funeral Home, 327 N. Gardner, Sharon Springs, KS 67758.
