Leonard Schlichenmayer-2004

     Leonard Raymond Schlichenmayer passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2004.  He was born Sept. 22, 1925 to Jacob and Pauline (Weisshaar) Schlichenmayer the oldest of seven children. On Aug. 29, 1948 he married Bethel Otteman, to this union five children were born.  In 1956, they moved to Wheatland, Wyo. where Leonard was employed in construction of the Glendo Dam, then worked road construction throughout the state of Wyoming.  he retired in 1988.  He is preceded in death by both his parents and one sister.  Survivors are his wife Bethel of 55 years and his children, Steve, wife carol and family; Sharon, husband Doug Runyan and family; Sandy, husband Jim Lockman and family; Susie, husband Terry Harris and family; Stan, wife Debbie and family, twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  His sisters Laurine Weaver, Burling, Edna Morgan, Grand Junction, Della Plucheck, Denver, Esther Armitstead, Longmont and brother Loyd Schlichenmayer, Erie, also survive him.
