Amanda Schlichenmayer --  1977

         Funeral services were held at the Hendricks Chapel in Burlington, Friday, Sept. 16, at 1:30 pm for Amanda Leona Schlichenmayer.  Rev. Ruben Isaak was the officiant.  Sandee Strobel was the organist and also provided vocal musical selections.
         Casket bearers were Ron Weisshaar, Roger Weisshaar, Darwin Stolz, Bob Stevens, Ralph Stahlecker and Dempsey Harris.  Honorary casket bearers were Harold Schlichenmayer, Kevin Weisshaar and Sidney Stolz. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.
         Amanda Leona Stahlecker-Schlichenmayer was born Sept. 12, 1920, to Fred and Jocabine Stahlecker of rural Bethune.  She passed away on her birthday, Sept. 12, at St. Luke's Hospital, Denver.
         She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Joan A. Sheridan of Littleton and Victoria S. Schlichenmayer of Burlington; a grandson, Bobby Dean Stevens of Littleton; her brothers and sisters, Emil Stahlecker of Vallejo, Calif., Herbert Stahlecker of Evansville, Wyo., Robert Stahlecker and Hulda Ziegler of Burlington, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
