The Gottlieb Knodel family stayed with
Peter and Christena Knodel when they first arrived in the
country. At that time, the Christian Strobel family lived on
the east side of the section east of the Lutheran Church. Their son Chris
told about he remembered the Gottleib Knodel family arriving and walked
over to visit them. He said the menfolk were wearing the tall black
Russian style boots and the long sleeved and high necked collared shirts.
