Install New Pastor: Howard Jacobson
Installation service for Pastor Howard Jacobson,
new pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of
Bethune, will be held Sunday, Jan. 2, starting
at 7:30 p.m. Officiating at the service will be
Pastor Laursen of Goodland.A reception will
be held following the service in the church
basement. The public is invited to attend.
Pastor Jacobson is coming to Colorado from St.
John's Lutheran Church in Creston, Ill. He and
his wife Lois have four children, Carl 10, Karen
8, Lisa 5
and Martha 20 months. He graduated from Luther
College in Decorah, Iowa with a bachelor of arts
degree in 1961 and from Luther Seminary at St.
Paul, Minn., in 1965 with a bachelor of divinity
degree.
He has served churches in Seattle, Wash.;
Englevale and Elliott, N. D. and Creston, IL
Before entering the ministry he served in the U.
S. Air Force in Korea and worked in the
construction and trucking industry. |
