The Knodel Bird House
Paul & Mildred Knodel of Denver, Colorado made this Bird
House. (Paul was a high school classmate of Nathan's dad and
is a distant relative on the Dobler family side.) Paul makes
the houses out of wood and Mildred paints them. They make them
primarily to donate to a charity auction for the Ronald McDonald
House.
On a recent visit to Blair (May 2007), they gave one of their bird
houses (#202) to us. It now has it's home next to the big Maple tree
so we can enjoy all the detail as we pass by it each
