Spiced Pear Jam

5 cups pared, chopped pears
7 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 bottle liquid pectin

Pare & chop pears;  add sugar, lemon juice, and spices, and mix well.  Bring to a vigorous boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.  Boil 1 minute, remove from heat and stir in liquid pectin.  Let stand 5 minute and skim.  Seal in hot sterile glasses.
