Hanukkah Nuts

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 sour cream
2 1/2 cups halved walnuts or pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine sugars and sour cream in a sauce pan.  Cook over low heat stirring constantly until the sugars dissolve. Cook for 5 minutes after it comes to a boil and remove from heat and add nuts and vanilla.  Stir until light sugar begins to form on nuts.  Spread on waxed paper and separate with a fork.  Cool and store in a covered can.
