Oatmeal Granola Bars

4 cup quick rolled oats
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon vanilla
2 cup chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, or whatever you like

Pour melted butter over oats. Mix thoroughly. Add all other ingredients. Pour into greased 7 x 10 1/2-inch (small rectangular glass Pyrex) baking pan. Pat down with waxed paper over the top, remove paper. Bake at 350º F for 25 minutes or until slightly golden. When almost cool, cut bars, then wrap each in waxed paper or saran.

You may substitute honey or maple syrup for the light corn syrup. Syrup if you like a sweeter bar.
