Chocolate Pie

2 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
3 eggs separated

Milk together and cook until thick over medium heat,  boil 5 minutes.  Then add egg yolks, not beaten on at a time. Put back on stove and cook 3 minutes.  Remove from heat, add:

1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt

Pour into prepared pie shell and cool.  Top with meringue made with 3 egg whites and 6 tablespoons  sugar, brown meringue in oven to finish.
