Apple Crumb Pie

4 tart apples, sliced
1  9-inch unbaked pastry shell
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup butter

Pare apples and slice, arrange in an unbaked pie shell.  Combine 1/2 cup sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle it over the apples.   Combine 1/2 cup sugar with the flour and cut in the butter until crumbly.  Sprinkle over the apples and bake in a hot over (400°F) for 40 minutes or until done.
